Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the cancellation policy?
    All NovoNations events (not including lunches, speaker series, the annual general assembly, and other special exceptions if indicated) will have a clear RSVP deadline and an indication of the applicable no-show fee, which has been set at 20 DKK. This information will be specified in both the event description on the NovoNations website and the Outlook invite. Events may have different RSVP deadlines, so make sure to follow the details from the website and the Outlook invite. Cancellations are to be sent to info@novonations.dk and will be handled as follows: Please note that the no-show fee also applies to free events.
  • Can my friends and family join NovoNations events?
    Yes, your friends and family can attend certain type of events hosted by NovoNations. However, as they are not part of the NovoNations community, discounted entry fee or other membership benefits do not apply to them.
  • Who manages NovoNations?
    The day-to-day administration and governance of the association is overseen by the Executive Board, which is elected by NovoNations members annually during the annual General Assembly.
  • What is NovoNations?
    NovoNations is an association for all employees, both international as well as Danish, working in Novo Nordisk A/S, Pharmatech Køge, Novo Nordisk Scandinavia AB and NNE Pharmaplan Denmark. The vision of NovoNations is to foster and connect global cultures within the organisation and to promote a global, diverse and inclusive work environment.   • What is the cost of membership?
    The annual membership fee is 269 DKK/year and automatically renews at the end of each 12-months period. Members are notified about the auto-renewal process, and if you choose to opt out, you can simply sign in into your account/profile and cancel your membership before your current subscription period expires.
  • Can I get more involved with NovoNations?
    Yes, we are always open for people who want to bring like-minded colleagues together and strengthen the NovoNations community. Visit our Open Positions section to find out more about the available positions and to submit your application.
  • Who is eligible for a NovoNations membership?
    Any person employed and remunerated by Novo Nordisk A/S or by a subsidiary of Novo Nordisk A/S is eligible for membership of the Association. Pensioners, regular external parties, etc., are not eligible for membership.
  • How does NovoNations protect my personal data?
    Safeguarding data responsibly is the top priority for NovoNations. For more information on how we handle your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
  • Is NovoNations free to join?
    NovoNations offers membership through an annual subscription. Members receive exclusive benefits such as invitations to member-only events, site activities, complimentary drink, reduced entry/registration fees, subscription to CPH Post, etc. Visit our 'Membership Benefits' section to learn more.
  • Do I have to renew my NovoNations membership for a whole new year when I sign up to the new website?
    To successfully transfer your membership from the old website to the new website, you are asked to sign-up with a credit card and reference your original sign-up month. While this will trigger a renewal for one year, it can be offset by the remaining month from your current subscription. If you do not want to renew your subscription for more than the remaining time, please send us a message to info@novonations.dk and we will sort it out together with you.
  • I cannot book an event on the new website, what should I do?
    Only members with an active membership have access to the event booking page. If you do not have a membership on the new website and would like access to book events, please switch to a new plan as relevant, following the steps outlined in an email sent on 19 December and follow up on 22 January.
  • I cannot reset my password or login on my account, what should I do?
    If you followed the sign-up guidelines and read through this FAQ document but still cannot log in, please contact us at info@novonations.dk.
  • Why do I have to sign-up again?
    NovoNations made the decision to migrate the NovoNations website to a new platform that offers members a more user-friendly experience with a much simpler process for managing event bookings. For security reasons, we were not able to migrate members’ account payment information over to the new website and a result, members now need to follow the steps in our registration guide in order to continue their NovoNations membership and be able to book events in the future.
  • My subscription has been canceled or is missing, what should I do?
    There is quite a lot of manual work involved on our side to make the migration to the new website and as a result, there might be some human error. If you think your subscription is not correct, please reach out to info@novonations.dk with the starting date of your membership and your subscription plan type.
  • I have a 3-year subscription plan and am still experiencing issues, even after following the guide and FAQ document. What should I do?
    If you have a 3-year membership subscription, and are experiencing issues with the sign-up process, please attach the email sent to us when purchasing the plan and write to info@novonations.dk for support.
  • I cancelled my membership in Squarespace, will it get renewed?
    No, your membership will run out and not be renewed.
  • Volunteers to co-host onsite lunches
    We a seeking enthusiastic volunteers to co-host engaging onsite lunches. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know other NovoNations members at your site.
  • Volunteers to co-host events
    Join us as a volunteer co-host for events and be part of creating memorable experiences.
  • Associate Director of Partnerships
    Partnerships hold the responsibility of executing strategic collaborations between NovoNations and Novo Nordisk. Partnerships will map all stakeholders, execute the outreach strategy, and liaise with Novo Nordisk management and administration to support NovoNation's growth. Create the framework for collaboration with Novo Nordisk. Enhance partnership with D&I organizations across Novo Nordisk sites. Become a formal partner of P&O organization / Global Mobility and create a structured new employee onboarding process – e.g. Welcome package, NovoNations Buddy. Create an alliance with NAF and promote D&I values within NAF. Expand NovoNations in and beyond Denmark - reach additional sites, e.g. Kalundborg, Gentofte, Aalborg, etc and global – NNRCO, NNRCC, NNRCS, NNRCI etc. Promote improved visibility for NovoNations and secure strong support from Executive Management.
  • Associate Director of Digital Strategy & Systems
    Systems Integration is responsible for managing our strategic initiatives related to simplification and automation of our systems related to IT processes / backend. Building new Wix website, re., design, automation, photo and video gallery. Automation of processes & systems within Wix and SquareSpace. Linking of systems e.g. Stripe, Datawrapper, Integromat, Orca Scan, GoDaddy, Hostmaster, Squarespace, G Suite. Implementation of new IT systems to improve automation of tasks. Ensure processes are anchored in SOPs to ensure continuity. This role moreover requires close collaboration with our Digital Content & Branding portfolio.
  • Associate Director of Strategy & Governance
    Strategy and Governance is the overall responsible for establishing the Association’s strategy as well as govern the finance and legal affairs of the organization. The portfolio will establish and manage various committees/working groups within the ExecBoard and ensure smooth co-ordination across the portfolios. Map the strategic directions for NovoNations to fulfil its vision. Set up short- and long-term goals (eg. Financial, membership, outreach, partnerships etc.) for NovoNations and implement task force to achieve the goals. Assess and address gaps, opportunities, and risks within NovoNations. On the financial front, liaise with bank, tax authority SKAT and external accounting. Update budget/finances including membership fee payment/refund management and report to ExecBoard Aim to secure additional funding. Ensure compliance with Bylaws, Novo Nordisk and external guidelines. Update Bylaws when deemed necessary and approved by ExecBoard. Ensure compliance with GDPR - Ensure member data is deleted (card details, email address, etc) as soon as it is not required.
  • Associate Director of Networking & Activities
    Networking & Activities is the overall responsible for connecting NovoNations members across the organization through professional and social activities. Plan and develop new activities in alignment with NovoNations' vision. Focus beyond social events and enhance local on-site activities. Facilitate professional exchange, networking & idea sharing – on-site coffee meeting / Novo Nations lunches, Learn session. Create and execute NovoNations Speaker Series – To learn from each other culturally and professionally. Team up with Novo Nordisk and plan long-term activities in collaboration with partnerships portfolio (e.g. external speakers and facilitate workshops/meetings on D&I). Cater social activities to accommodate diverse NovoNations members – e.g. family-centric events, Danes + Non-Danes Talk. Upgrade the networking & activities pipeline.
  • Associate Director of Digital Content & Branding
    Digital Content & Branding is responsible for creating innovative tools to brand the association. The portfolio will ensure all communications (outside of ExecBoard) are aligned across channels and conform to the NovoNations brand. In addition, the portfolio will be responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure, social media accounts and e-mail management. Create new marketing tools / digital channels to advertise and promote NovoNations Harness the power of digital platforms to connect and communicate with members, non-members and Novo Nordisk management Drive initiatives to build future digital products - NovoNations App, Podcast – POV, video and testimony blog, Viva engage Manage existing digital channels (Teams, Facebook, LinkedIn, Sharepoint) and NovoNations website Produce corporate branding materials for NovoNations - Information leaflets, introduction slides, lanyards, t-shirts, etc.
